I did a approx 3500 Km (Pune-Udupi-Kasargod-Kotchi-Adoor-Palaghat-Salem-Bangalore-Hubli-Pune) road trip with my stock Pulsar 125 single seat variant with front disc. No issues what so ever. It can reach 80Kmph easily. I was riding 600 km daily. However you feel the lack of pickup during overtaking so you have to plan in advance while planning to do so also keep the momentum going on flyovers and sleep slopes.

If you will ride the bike in the economic rpm range(4000-5000) on highways, definitely you will get better mileage as compared to the city as you need not to apply brakes and change gears frequently. But Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon isn't a suitable bike for long rides. If you ride the bike with a general highway speed(Around 80kmph), the engine will strain and you won't get better mileage on long rides.
