Engine, Mileage and Performance

Powering the Tuono 660 is the same 659cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine as the RS 660, but this one produces 95PS at 10,500rpm (5PS less) and 67Nm at 8500rpm.

Suspension, brakes and other details

The Tuono shares the same underpinnings as the RS 660. The bike is built on an aluminum perimeter frame and is suspended on a 41mm Kayaba inverted fork at front with rebound and preload adjustability. At the rear, it features a monoshock with preload and rebound adjustablity. Braking duties are handled by 320mm double discs at front and a 220mm disc at the rear with Brembo radial callipers. The main difference is that the Tuono features a wide handlebar and gives riders a more upright riding stance more suited to street use.

Features

The Tuono comes with the same 5-inch TFT instrument console as the RS 660 which shows essential readouts like speed, fuel level, tachometer readings and time, along with odometer and tripmeter readings. 

It gets 5 riding modes, 3 fixed and 2 customizable ones. The bike also has a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (that measures the bike’s lean angle) and the Aprilia Performance Ride Control suite which includes traction control, wheelie control, engine braking control, and cruise control.
