Aprilia Tuono Highlights
Aprilia has unveiled a limited edition MY 2020 RSV4 RR Tuono RR Misano edition. It gets a new livery inspired by Aprilia's first GP winning race bike along with a carbon-fibre fender and a lightweight lithium ion battery. The Tuono V4 is powered by a 1077cc V4 engine and makes 175PS at 11,000rpm and 121Nm at 9,000rpm. The streetfighter comes equipped with Aprilia's complete APRC System (Aprilia Performance Ride Control), which includes traction, wheelie and launch control along with three power maps.
In terms of underpinnings, the bike comes equipped with a Sachs suspension setup, while its braking is handled by Brembo M50 calipers mated to twin 330mm discs up front and a 220mm disc at the rear. It goes up against the BMW S 1000 R and the Ducati Streetfighter V4.

TUONO Expert Review
Once again a naked sports motorcycle christened as Aprilia Tuono lined-up in country’s automotive industry. The bike gets a sporty body and offers premium performance to serve street fighter as well as sports bike addicts.
It is powered by a 999.6cc, four-stroke, liquid cooled engine, which comes linked to a six-speed transmission system. The mill pumps out 165bhp of power at 11,500 rpm along with 111.5Nm of torque at 9,500 rpm. Furthermore, the longitudinal 65° V-4 cylinder engine includes four valves per cylinder to provide power-packed performance. The engine starts via Magnetic Marelli electronic ignition system.
Aprilia Tuono is constructed on an aluminium dual beam chassis with a cast and pressed sheet elements. The machine runs on a 120/70-ZR17 front and 190/55-ZR17 rear tubeless tyres wrapped on elegant black alloys. The suspension system of the motorcycle consists of 43mm SACHS upside down units with one-by-one separated damping adjustments at the front and SACHS piggyback shock absorber with adjustable spring preload, compression and rebound damping at the rear. The fierce stopping power is provided by 320mm dual disc brakes at the front and 220mm Brembo-calliper disc brakes at the rear.
The bike sports an APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) system. The package consists of several safety characteristics including Traction control (ATC), Wheelie control (WC) and Launch Control (ALC). The traction control of the machine ensures the stability on adverse road conditions while the wheelie control and launch control systems reduce the chance of lifting up the bike in a case of sharp accelerations. These three systems can be configured and switched off independently as per requirements.
The exhaust system of the bike looks amazing, that comes with four into two into one layout. It is also equipped with a slipper clutch to prevent rear wheel locking and losing of revs in a case of gear downshifts at high speeds. Furthermore, the naked sports bike comes equipped with Aprilia Quick Shift electronic system (AQS), which ensures easy and smooth gear shifting without the involvement of clutch. The front profile is blessed with dual headlamps with a striking appearance. Apart from this, it also comes with a dual split seat which adds more aggression to its look. Talking about the rear, it is designed sharp with tiny tail lamp and clear lens blinker giving a high-end feel to the motorcycle.
Design and Features
Aprilia Tuono belongs to a clan of the finest looking naked street bikes of the world. The front fascia is furnished with a huge twin headlamp section along with a positioning light sandwiched between the two. It comes without a visor, which makes it look a robust and appealing naked street bike. Its fuel tank is neatly designed that gives a comfortable riding posture. The full fairing of the bike wraps it well in a sporty livery and makes it look even more fascinating. It has a sporty step up, a split seat that comes properly stitched and well-padded to give a perfect comfort to the rider as well as pillion. Moreover, the naked bike comes with a sharp and pointed trimmed rear fender that boost its visuals.
The bike has following body dimensions - 2065mm in length, 800mm in width and 1090mm in height, offering it a respectable road presence. It has a wheelbase of 1445mm along with a ground clearance of 125mm that gives it an excellent stability and handling in all conditions. Furthermore, it has been aided with a 17-liter fuel tank that provides a good range for long distance street biking. Approaching towards the instrumentation, it is very easy to read and comprises of an analogue tachometer, a digital speedometer, twin trip meters and a fuel gauge.

The suspension system of the bike comprises of 43mm SACHS upside down units with one-by-one separated damping adjustments at the front and SACHS piggyback shock absorber with adjustable spring preload, compression and rebound damping at the rear. The braking duties are carried out by 320mm dual disc brakes along with M432 Brembo monobloc radial calipers with 4 opposed Ø32 mm pistons at the front and 220mm single disc brake along with Brembo floating caliper with 2 insulated 32 mm pistons at the rear, which offer an uncompromised braking experience.

The bike is blessed with Aprilia Traction Control (ATC) unit that cuts down the chance of losing grip under adverse riding conditions.
