13 March 2018: Dynamically impressive and evidently muscular, Mojo XT300 was presented as an entry-level tourer by Mahindra in the 300 cc bike section. Showcased back then in 2010 the bike was able to earn itself a great fan following, which however faded a little with its delayed launch that was finally successful in 2015. The bike is designed to represent the robust spirit of Mahindra two-wheelers along with displaying the stylish and sporty appeal of a dynamic tourer. Mahindra Mojo XT300 gets a distinguished front look owing to its twin-pod headlamp unit and golden painted upside down suspension forks. The evident wind reflectors and the chiselled fuel tank of the bike further display sportiness. Injecting power into the heart of the tourer is a 300 cc liquid-cooled EFI engine producing a peak power of 27 PS and a torque of 30 Nm. The bike sports a 6-speed power transmission unit. Mahindra Mojo XT300 offers great braking performance owing to its 320 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brakes. The tourer has upside down forks at the front and gas charged monoshock suspension at the rear end. Mahindra Mojo XT300, the capable 300 cc tourer that was first showcased in 2010 took 5 years to come to the market and was officially launched in 2015. The bike that created a stir in the market back then in 2010 for its high power ratios was accepted well in 2015. Owing to its quirky design that represents toughness and aesthetics at the same time, Mahindra Mojo surely appeals to youngsters demanding style with power. The distinguished bug-eyed twin headlamp units representing a hint of Triumph Street Triple fits well in the distinguished visor of the bike. The well-sculpted fuel tank design, radiator shrouds and the eminent chiselled wind reflector together give the bike a muscular look. The instrument console of the bike looks sophisticated and stylish with left side analogue and right side digital setup. The front forks of the tourer and the radiator are painted golden to add to the visual appeal of the bike. Pumping power down the veins of Mahindra Mojo XT300 is the 300 cc liquid-cooled EFI engine unit that is capable of delivering 27 PS at 8000 rpm worth of maximum power and a maximum torque of 30 Nm at 5500 rpm. For its pumped-up power units, the bike delivers a decent average mileage of 30 kmpl. The seamless distribution of power to the alloy wheels of the bike is through the 6-speed power transmission unit. Mahindra Mojo XT300 promises you a prompt and reliable braking experience owing to its 320 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brake units. The suspension duties of Mojo are met by front upside down forks and rear high-pressure gas charged monoshock units. The bike surely makes up for a capable 300 cc tourer but features tough competition from Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 and Bajaj Dominar 400. The well-built Mahindra two-wheeler is priced at Rs 1,74,520 (Ex-Showroom Delhi). 

Design

Stylish in stance and robust in built, the muscular bike is appointed with an appealing design that doesn’t just turns heads around but feels muscular at the same time. The twin-pod headlamp unit of Mahindra Mojo XT300 fits nicely in the compact visor assembly and is adorned by eyebrow shaped LED DRLs. The fuel tank of the bike is sculpted to sport toughness and is complemented by the well-chiselled wind reflectors. The golden painted front forks and the exhaust unit makes the styling more evident. The bike also gets appointed with an uncluttered analogue-digital instrument console. 

Engine, Mileage & Performance

Mahindra Mojo XT300 draws its potential from the 300 cc liquid-cooled EFI power mill that churns out a maximum power of 27 PS at 8000 rpm in coordination with a maximum torque of 30 Nm at 5500 rpm. Along with these high power ratios, the bikes make up for a decent average fuel-efficiency of 30 kmpl. The 6-speed transmission unit of the bike allows the rider to switch gears seamlessly in busy traffic areas.

Handling & Ride Quality

The capable dynamism that Mahindra Mojo XT300 features can be brought to rest as promptly as it is triggered with the help of its efficient brake assembly that comprises of font 320 mm and rear 240 mm disc brake units. The 300 cc tourer also offers a pleasant handling experience owing to its well-calibrated suspension assembly that consists of an upside down telescopic front suspension and high-pressure gas charged monoshock rear suspension.

Features

The engineers at Mahindra along with giving the bike the potential it demanded has also paid attention to its safety. The bike gets a muscular built thus offering a reliable riding experience for the rider. With this, the twin-pod headlamp unit of the bike comes integrated with Auto Headlamp ON (AHO) feature that makes sure that the headlamp remains in a default ON mode even at daytime. This adds to the rider’s visibility and reduces the chances of road accidents significantly. The 320 mm front disc brake along with the 240 mm rear disc unit makes up for a prompt and reliable braking performance.
