Honda Rebel 500

Honda Rebel 500 is a motorcycle with a starting price of Rs 4.50 Lakh. It is available in India in 1 variant and 4 colours with high end variant price starting from Rs 4.50 Lakh. Rebel 500 is powered by a 471 cc engine which develops a power of 47.5 PS and a torque of 43.3 Nm. It has Disc front brakes and Disc rear brakes. The weight of Honda Rebel 500 is 191 kg and comes with a fuel tank capacity of 11.2 L.

Honda plans to launch the Honda Rebel 500 in India by the end of 2021. This will be the Japanese brand's first cruiser in the country and is likely to be priced at Rs 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Powering the Honda Rebel 500 is a 471cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor, which generates 45.5PS at 8500rpm and 44.6Nm at 6000rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission with slip-assist clutch. The Honda Rebel 500 comes with a claimed mileage of 26kmpl.

 The motorcycle comes with 41mm telescopic front fork, twin rear shock absorbers, 296mm front disc and 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The 16-inch front and rear wheels are shod with fat 130-section front and 150-section rear rubber respectively. When launched, it will essentially slot between the affordable Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the premium Kawasaki Vulcan S and Harley-Davidson Street 750 in the Indian market.

Honda has also launched a Bobber Special Edition variant of the Rebel 500 in Thailand which will be produced in a limited run of 100 units. It is around Rs 29,000 more expensive than the standard version in Thailand.
