Hiii friends
I am Rajveer Apte from bangalore. I purchased TVS apache in 2011. This is an average bike with great looks. The maintenance cost is quite high. The bike was performing very well for the first two years but after that oil starts leaking from the engine. The engine starts producing noise. The performance graph is decreased as the time passed away. The quality of material is not so good. The parts are not so reliable.
Fuel economy of this bike average. It generates mileage of 45 kmpl in my bike case. But the good thing is the power and pick up is still appreciable. It does get a bit strained when I go beyond 65 kms but rarely does city riding require you to go at that speed.
I wouldn't comment much on the looks, as it depends on one's personality.But for me it is comfortable. But on long distances, I sense a little ache in my back probably due to the posture that it offers for the rider. Suspension also have some scope to be bettered.
The handling and braking characteristics are good and keeps your bike under your control always.
Bike gives you troubles during cold starts, In that condition turn off the ignition key, pull the choke lever and use kick rod twice so that your engine gets heated up. Then turn on the ignition key, release the choke lever and use electric starter. Don't simply use the combination of choke and electric start. The above is my personal experience.
Overall the bike performance is above average...If you like speed then I would recommend this bike.
