Suzuki GS150R is the only 150cc offering from the company, which is currently on sale in India. Blessed with stylish looks and sporty appearance, the bike stands tough against other leading 150cc players of the country. However, the bike didn't get much attention from the Indian buyers and is one of the rarest 150cc bikes one can see on the Indian roads.
Propelling the bike is a 149.1cc, air-cooled, four-stroke engine that comes mated to a six-speed constant mesh gearbox. The mill develops a peak power of 13.8bhp at 8,500rpm with a maximum torque of 13.4Nm at 6,000rpm. Suzuki GS150R runs on 2.75-18 42P front and 100/90-18 M/C 56P rear tyres that offer a superior grip on the road. Its suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and oil damped, gas charged shock absorbers at the rear. The stopping distance of the bike is minimised impressively by a 240mm front hydraulic disc brake with a 130mm rear drum brake.
The body dynamics of the bike are sharp that gives it an aggressive appearance. The front fascia has a sporty cowl integrated with a powerful headlight and twin pilot lamps. The fuel tank is carved artistically that looks smashing and gives a good riding position to the rider. The rear of the bike has a fascinating LED tail lamp unit that consists of clear lens turning indicators as well. The overall measurements of Suzuki GS150R are 2,095mm x 785mm x 1,120mm (LxWxH) with a wheelbase and minimum ground clearance of 1,335mm and 160mm respectively.
A fuel tank of 15.5 liter capacity gives a good range to the rider that proves helpful in longer road trips. Now talking about the machine’s cockpit, Suzuki has blessed the bike with an advanced rpm indicator that blinks at the time of optimum gearshift. The GSX-R inspired feature works in sync with dual riding modes, either to avail a maximum fuel economy or to unleash full power of the bike. The cluster includes a digital speedometer, tripmeter, fuel gauge, gear position display and an analogue tachometer.
