Missed anything this week? We are here again with the complete weekly wrap-up. The biggest news that occupied the week is the arrival of TVS Apache 200 that is scheduled for January 20 alongside new TVS Victor. The bike was recently spotted in matte black and has been teased on the Indonesian website of the company. Mahindra unveiled the 125cc Gusto this week and its launch is confirmed to take place at the upcoming Auto Expo. The biennial event will witness the unveiling of 80 new vehicles this time and would be “Bigger and Better” indeed. Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) has released new graphics for its motorcycles at an additional cost of Rs. 700. Royal Enfield also decided to give a makeover to its motorcycle range and introduced nine new shades. California Superbike School has announced the dates for its 2016 India season and the registrations have commenced on its official website.

Honda Commuter Range Gets Optional Graphics For Rs. 700

Honda has introduced an exciting option of sporty graphics for its range of commuter motorcycles including the CB Unicorn 160R, Livo and CB Hornet 160R. As it is an optional feature for the motorcycles, it is costing around Rs. 700 extra and the existing customers can also get them at the similar price. Read more

TVS Apache 200 Spotted in Matte Black; Will Come as Apache RTR 200 4V

Just after getting teased on the Indonesian website of TVS, the Apache 200 was again spotted doing final test runs. The bike has been recently spied in a matte black shade and some more details about this model have been uncovered. The India launch of company’s flagship is confirmed to take place on January 20 this year and here it will be launched as TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. Read more

Mahindra Gusto 125 Unveiled Today; Launch at Auto Expo

After much speculation over its launch date, Mahindra Gusto 125 has been unveiled today by the company. However, the official launch will take place at the Auto Expo next month. Mahindra has been trying hard to increase its presence in the Indian two-wheeler market after its previous motorcycle launch, the 300cc Mojo, has not garnered the expected response. Hence, the company has changed tracks and released a more powerful version of its highest selling scooter, the Gusto. With the new Gusto 125, Mahindra will compete with segment leaders Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Access. Read more

Yamaha India Introduces New Colours in Saluto Disc Brake Variant

Yamaha Motors India has recently updated the disc brake variant of its 125cc fuel efficient motorcycle Yamaha Saluto in terms of colors and sporty graphics. The bike is now available in four colors namely Glory Green, Majestic Red, Bold Blue and Dashing White. This upgrade does not affect the prices and is available at existing price. Saluto is the second offering in the 125cc segment after YBR 125 in the company’s portfolio. Yamaha had launched the Saluto with Disc brake in July 2015. It is also the first 125cc machine from the stable of the company that feature “Blue Core Technology”. Read more

Royal Enfield Motorcycles Get Nine New Colours

Royal Enfield has introduced nine new shades for its fleet that includes four new colours for its retro street model Classic, three colours for the legendary Bullet and one colour each for the Thunderbird and the Continental GT. These new colour variants will be introduced in addition to the existing colours that are available for each motorcycle model and are open for bookings at all Royal Enfield company stores and dealerships. The prices of the new colour variants will remain unchanged and will be as per the existing models. Read more

Auto Expo 2016 to Witness the Unveiling of 80 New Vehicles

The 13th edition of Auto Expo is expected to be bigger and better than its previous episodes. This year more than 80 new vehicles will be unveiled and 1500 suppliers from 20 countries will be showcasing their latest technologies. The component show will take place from 4-7 February at Pragati Maidan and the Motor Show to be held from 5-9 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. Read more

Harley-Davidson to Launch a New Motorcycle in India This Month

Harley-Davidson India is expected to launch a new motorcycle by the end of January 2016. The new offering will most probably replace the SuperLow or FatBoy Special that were discontinued at the start of this year. Following the discontinuation of these models, the prices of all Harley bikes were updated which came into effect from January 8. According to carandbike.com, the new motorcycle will be an updated version of SuperLow with redesigned frame and new suspension setup. However, it will house the same 883cc engine that produces 70Nm of peak torque and was present in the outgoing model. The new bike could also be the replacement of FatBoy Special. Read more

Carrying all the documents of the vehicles during a ride won’t be a challenge anymore as Insurance Regulatory Authority of India has come up with a digital motor insurance initiative called as e-Vahan Bima.
