Two-Wheeler Manufacturers Organise Free Service Camps in Chennai’s Flood Hit Areas

Almost all of us are aware of the Chennai floods and the disturbance it has bought in the lives of people there. People from all walks of life are helping the state in one way or the other and are giving full support. Celebrities too have donated money in big numbers so that the life of people affected by the tragedy can be put back to normal. Recently, we are glad to receive a news of the two-wheeler community also lending a helping hand during this hard time. As per reports, numerous two-wheeler manufacturers like Bajaj, Honda, Mahindra, TVS and Yamaha are offering free check-up and service camps for vehicles that got damaged in the mishap. 

The Indian two-wheeler and four-wheeler manufacturer - Mahindra has organised a total of 19 service camps in the flood-affected areas to offer free of cost services to its buyers. The one-week long camp will assist all Mahindra two-wheeler buyers whose respective machines have been harmed during floods. Furthermore, the company is also offering discounts to its customers on oil changes, part replacements and other basic repairs without any labour charge. Mahindra has already reached out to around 6,000 customers to inform them about the camps and two mobile service stations have also been deployed to do the needful. 

Apart from Mahindra, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) is also offering free vehicle service to its customers till 24th of December. A total of 81 workshops have been assigned to offer free service and free engine oil to the flood affected Honda two-wheelers. Like Mahindra, Honda has also employed mobility vans for better reach. On the initiative, Mr. Keita Muramatsu - President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd said, “In the wake of recent devastating calamity, Honda is committed to rebuilding the lives of our customers and address their needs for mobility. This contribution is a way of expressing solidarity with the people of Tamil Nadu, as they start to rebuild from scratch.”
