Hero Honda reports a sales jump of 17 percent in July 2010

India's biggest two-wheeler market leader, Hero Honda has reported a sales raise of 17 percent at 427,686 units in the last month from the 366,808 units of two-wheeler in the same month of previous year. The company said growth of two-wheelers coming from all vehicles segment including entry-level, deluxe as well as premium. Behind of these, Scooters are also contributed a good number of sales in the Indian auto market. Cumulative sales for the first 4 months of this current financial year were 1,661,725 numbers, as against 1,485,795 two-wheelers in the same period of last fiscal year.

Hero Honda Senior Vice-President (Marketing, Sales & Customer Care) Anil Dua, said: "The four lakh plus sales in July has set an upbeat tone for the beginning of the new quarter (July-September). As we move into the festive season in the coming months, we anticipate maintaining this buoyancy."

Hero Honda is also working on their expansion plans and now looking forward to introduce its new products range in the coming months. Presently, the company has a large number of popular motorcycle brands, which are getting a excellent response from the Indian buyers - Hero Honda Splendor, Hero Honda Passion, Hero Honda CBZ, Hero Honda Hunk and Hero Honda Pleasure.
