Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom Launching Today

Harley Davidson is all set to launch their sturdy machine - Sportster 1200 Custom in India today. As per the reports, this bike has already reached the dealerships across the country a day before its launch. As we already shared, our sources at Harley revealed that the 1200 Custom will be priced around Rs. 8.8 lac. The machine will be launched during the Great Desert Ride that commenced yesterday from Jodhpur and will conclude on January 30. The company has recently discontinued its two models from the Indian lineup viz. Superlow and Fatboy Special.

The Sportster 1200 Custom is powered by a 1,200cc, V-twin engine that also powers the Harley Davidson Forty-Eight. The motor cranks out a maximum torque of 96Nm at 3,750rpm and comes mated to a five-speed transmission. The bike has been fitted with a massive 17-liter fuel tank against the 8-liter fuel tank of the Forty-Eight to make it capable for easy long distance touring.

Harley-Davidson has recently revised the prices of its models in India. With the launch of Sportster 1200 Custom, the Harley fans across the country will be getting a machine that is a combination of Forty-Eight in terms of performance and Iron 883 in terms of comfort and touring capabilities. The launch will take place in Delhi and will be followed by a media ride. Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom will be assembled at the company’s production facility in Bawal, Haryana.
