Harley Davidson, the US based and world's giant cruiser bike manufacturer has launched two new bikes in India such as Harley Davidson Iron 883 and Harley Davidson Superlow. And price for the both models starts from  Rs. 550,000 to  Rs. 650,000, respectively. Meanwhile another bike modes such as Harley Davidson Cvo, Harley Davidson Dyna, Harley Davidson Softail, Harley Davidson Sportster, Harley Davidson Touring and Harley Davidson V Rod are available for sale in India.

The good news lies in the recent update from the industry; it is reported that the company may drop the plan of opening assembly plant in India and preferring setting up a manufacturing plant here. As a result, the Harley Davison Sportster might be tagged at around Rs 3.5 lakh instead of Rs 5.50 lakh. Then, the price will be matching to Kawasaki Ninja 250R in India.

Harley Davidson has already announced an assembely plant in India and it will be set up in Bawal, Rewari district of Haryana. This plant will be the second of the company after Brazil. This new assembly plant will be spread in around 70,000 sq.ft area which is almost 100 kms far from the capital. It's production capacity will be almost 200 motorcycles annually. And think about the production plant here and the price factor after that!

The parts of the HD bikes will be imported from US market but bikes will be assembled in India so these CKD (Completely Knocked Down) bikes will be cheaper than CBU (Completely Built Units). And its seems that Harley Davidson Sportster 883 Superlow which has priced tag of Rs. 550000 (Ex-showroom Delhi) will might be available at price tag of most Rs. 3.5 lakh.

On the other hand, its competitor Victory Motorcycles has entered in India and will launch its bikes in India in the year of 2012.
