Harley-Davidson bikes booking start from 20th April

A good news for cruiser bike lovers. American motorcycle manufacturer, Harley-Davidson is going to commence booking of India-bound Harley Davidson bikes from 20th April, 2010. The company said in a statement that Indian cruiser bike lovers will soon ride the Harley-Davidson bikes in India. Harley-Davidson will host Book Your Ride event in Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. The company has already displayed its all models and variants at Delhi Auto Expo 2010. The price ragne of the bikes were announced in the same event. These motorcycles will be available between the price tags of Rs. 6,95,000 to Rs. 34,95,000 (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). Harley Davidson India, MD, Anoop Prakash said," The company will launch twenty showrooms in India within the next five years". Harley-Davidson launched 2010 models of five motorcycle families and seven variants with price tags in India as follows:- (1) Harley Davidson Sportster: XL 883L Sportster, XL 1200N Nightster, XL 883R Roadster, XR 1200X (priced between Rs 6.95 lakh to 11.95 lakh). (2) Harley Davidson Dyna: FXDB Street BOB , FXDC Super Glide Custom (priced between Rs 13.95 lakh to 15.45 lakh). (3) Harley Davidson VRSC: VRSCDX Night Rod Special (priced at Rs 18.95 lakh). (4) Harley Davidson Softail: FLSTF Fat Boy, FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic (priced between Rs 18.45 lakh to 19.45 lakh).(5) Harley Davidson Touring: FLHR Road King, FLHX Street Glide,Ultra Classic Electra Glide (priced between Rs 20.45 lakh to 34.95 lakh). As per some website reports that The commerical production of these bike would complete in April 2010 and deliveries of the bikes will taken place in July 2010. The company has contracted with ICICI Bank to provide finance for its customers. However, the price would raise considerably when Harley-Davidson starts production in India. The company is to have showrooms at Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bangalore. On the other hand, BMW also ready to roll out its sports BMW K1300s soon in India.
