Mr. Roy Kurian, National Business Head of India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. on the expectations from the forthcoming Union Budget 2011-12 for the Automobile Sector said in a statement "Last year's growth have been a boon to the auto industry. To have the momentum despite the high petrol price, the government should not touch excise duty at all. A focus on credit availability to 2 wheeler loans and reasonable interest rates could boost sales. The customs duty on steel, aluminium, etc. should not be raised as it will put pressure on the pricing of automobiles in general and 2 wheelers in particular."

Yamaha sales a number of entry-level to supersports bikes; the bikes include Yamaha Crux, Yamaha VMAX, MT01, Yamaha R1, Yamaha Fazer, FZ-S (153cc), FZ16 (153cc), Yamaha R15, Gladiator Type SS & RS (125cc), SS 125 (125cc), Yamah YBR 110 (106cc), G5 (106cc), Alba and Yamaha Crux.
