The Multi Starda 2010, Italian superbike maker Ducati is now eyeing a four-fold jump in sales next year at over 100 units as compared to 25-30 units the company has sold in 2009. Ducati has already opened its second showroom in India at Gurgaon and is also the process of ramping up its network in the country. Mirko Bordiga, CEO (Asia Pacific), Ducati said, "Though our volumes are still low but the increase in sales from 30 bikes this year to an estimated 100 bikes next year is a significant jump and this will come on the back of new products and increased dealership network across four more cities in the next six months." Ashish Chordia, CEO, Ducati India said, "Till now Super Bike and Monster has contributed maximum to our sales. Going forward, Street Fighter will play an important role in our sales along with Multi Starda, which is a 1200cc bike and would be priced at around Rs 18 lakh." Ducati will also set up dealers in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata between January and June 2010 to cater to larger customer base. The newly launched bikes in India are Honda CB Twister and TVS Jive.
