Appearance

The new family two-wheeler looks stunning in new design and upgraded style. Now comes in 110cc displacement. This automatic gear scooter now features revamped clear rectangular headlamp. Front face has flowing lines with sexy curves. Aerodynamic style is another change that catches the eyes. Overall, the body of the Honda Activa is compact. This compact machine allows the rider to handle it with more ease and performance is enhanced. The new scooter is having anti-theft key shutter that ensure safety of the machine.

As far as storage is concerned, the scooter provides more space at different parts. Like, at the front side, sleek and stylish inner box is fitted that can easily hold household items. Apart from this, an additional storage space is there under the rear part. It's total capacity is 18 litre. You can use it for helmet, bottles, lunch box and other items. For maintenance purpose, lift-up independent cover is provided that can be lift up complete rear part with ease.

It has an auto and kick start mechanism, automatic gear transmission with maximum speed of 80 kmph. It comes with multi-reflector head lamp and a convenient lift-up independent engine cover, this makes routine maintenance fast and hassle free. Enough space is provided between the seat that can comfortably hold a helmet. This time the rear grab rail is in fibre and uplifted as against to the Honda Activa. Moreover, you can use the space between front part and seat for boxes, kids and shopping bags. The wide dashboard incorporates fuel gauge, speedometer, low fuel and low oil indicators.

Engine

New Honda Activa comes with refined engine. The displacement of the scooter is 110cc. It designed to give 15 per cent more mileage than its forrunner. The powertrain develops maximum power of 8bhp at 7500 rpm and generates maximum torque of 0.9k-gm at 5500 rpm.

The bike has a 110 cc engine with v-matic 4-speed transmission. The bike has a metal body that is sturdy and because of this the bike weighs almost 110 kgs. The weight is an advantage to you as, cross winds won’t affect you when you are driving in city or highways and the bike is stable and steady on all kinds of roads. Both brakes are internal expanding drum brakes. combi brakes are available in deluxe version.

Acceleration

As per test figures, the scooter takes 10.60 seconds for a 0-60 kmph. The top speed is 89 kmph that is much more than Honda Activa.

Fuel Efficiency

Fuel mileage of Honda Activa is around 52 kmpl, as per HMSI test conditions. However, users claimed it around 45 in city and around 50 kmpl on highway. Petrol tank can be filled only by lifting seat. The fuel capacity is 5.3 liters.

Colours

New Honda Activa is available in different colours. The colours are geny grey metallic, candy lucid red, black, force silver metallic and wild purple metallic. Body colour is used on mask, front fairing and side body.

Brakes

Honda Activa is equipped with drum brakes at both tyres. The diameter is 130mm for both the brakes. A rear lock wheel is also featured in the scooters that enable the machine to stand firm on uneven surface. The deluxe version comes with combi brakes that ensures shorter braking distance. New Honda Activa also gets combined braking system. Honda CBS is a safety system on motorcycles that balances the engagement of both front and rear brakes. CBS applies front braking force whenever the rear brake is operated.

Suspension

For the smooth riding, better suspensions are fitted. The front fork is bottom link with spring loaded hydraulic damper while rear one is unit link with spring loaded hydraulic damper.

Wheels and Tyres

The tyres specifications are 90/100-10-53J for both the tyres. The company used alloy wheels for the stylish machine. The scooter's tyres are fitted with tuffup tube and CLIC mechanism. The Nylogrip tyres have a double walled tube having fluid. If a puncture happens, the fluid fills in the gap and seals off the puncture.

Wheel Base and Controlling

These standard tyre wheelbase is 1238mm. This wheelbase is enough to have better grip on road.

Comfortness

Riding position in Honda Activa makes handling it easy for the riders and reduces rider fatigue. The scooter is very comfortable for ladies and gents. Taking kids and luggage is much easier than a bike.

Pros

The riding position is specially designed to make handling easy and reduce rider fatigue. Comfortable for both genders and old guys.

Cons

The only shortcoming of the Honda Activa is, the bike gives only 40 kmpl in city and 45 on highway. The front brake does not give much confidence. You can feel a bit of nose diving tendency when you brake hard
