Hero Honda Passion PRO Review
The bike scores over all the bike in the segment in looking. No doubt, the designers did a great job to give it a sporty appearance. Let's talk about its body colours. Most of the external body parts coloured in body colour like rear view mirrors, rear grab rail, graphics, front mudguard and the cowl. While windshield and leg guard are in black. Than the silencer is in black with black heat shield. Overall, we can say that the female is mostly coloured in black even the lower part of the front suspension.
The front cowl has nice design that houses trapezoidal multi reflector while other lights are multi reflector. The dashboard is nothing new. It is having analouge technology that control speedometer and fuel gauge. The five spoke alloy wheels are wonderful. If the alloy wheels left, it will damage the appearance of the female.
Hero Honda Passion PRO is powered with air-cooled, 4 stroke, single cylinder OHC with a displacement of 97.2cc which generates 7.8 PS at 7500 rpm and maximum torque is 8.04 NM at 4500 rpm. The powertrain specifications are as same as Passion Plus. Ground clearance is 165mm while clutch is 4 speed multi plate wet. The frame of the bike tubler double cradle in black colour overall. The ignition system is digital CDI with TCIS (Throttle Controlled Ignition System).
The top speed of the bike is claimed 85 kmph.
New model comes with a 3-year / 40,000 kms warranty. Passion PRO gives around 50kmpl in city roads 61kmpl on highways. The stylish black alloy wheels have low maintenance and resale value which gives sports looks to the machine. The minimum capacity of the fuel tank is 12.80 liters and 1 litre usable reserve.
The female is designed in different six colours. The charming colours are force silver, vibrant blue, black sports red, leaf green metallic and black with frost blue. The black colour dominates over the all body colour of the bike while other colours are similar to body colour at tank, front mudguard and side panels. Rear grab bar comes the vehicle colours as claimed by the company.
In view to attract young people, the motorbike is equipped with front disc brakes. Wheras the rear brakes comes with drum brakes. The specifications of the brakes are- front disc brakes of 240mm dia disc and rear 130mm drum brakes. Pretty enough for a bike which boasts 100cc engine.
Suspension in the female is well designed to provide jolt free cushion like riding experience. Front suspension houses telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers and rear with five-step adjustable hydraulic shcok absobers, cool! Is't it. Of course, you can adjust the rear suspension as required by a particluar road condition.
Nothing special about the wheels and tyres except black alloy wheels that make is good looking bike in the segment. The wheels specifications are: 2.75X18-4PR/42P (front) and 3.00X18-6PR/52P (rear).
The wheel base is 1235mm. Wheelbase of about 1235mm is not bad for 100cc bike as all other bikes in the catagory are having, approx, the same size. In addition to this, this wheel base is sufficient to control the bike even at the top speed.
The engineers of the company, pay utmost attention on the comfort issue. Both the rider and pillion enjoy good seating arrangements. For the pillion rider, rear grab bar, foot rest and foot-peg is there. The seat for the pillion is also comfortable with wide size and little height from the riders's one. The tank size is remained low to offer the rider better grip on handle bars and brakes. Overall, seating posture will be nice from every angle.
Very good looking bike with best resale value. Seating arrangements is fine and the bike is having all the necessary features to attract a city commuter.
Riding is comfortable except on curves and steepy roads as it doesn't allow you to switch 3rd gear it should be 2nd or 1st gear for that. The curb weight is 116 kg almost same as that of hunk, pulsar etc. but weight is not distributed uniformly across the body.
