    7th May, 2015: Suzuki plans to start the production of GSX 1300R Hayabusa in India, which might slash down its price upto Rs. 5 lac. It is one of the few legendary motorcycles in the world that doesn't need an introduction. The hypersports machine gets a 1,340cc, four-cylinder, four-stroke, DOHC mill that churns out a peak power of 197bhp with a maximum torque of 177Nm. The super-sharp body dynamics, a durable and highly reliable ABS, Suzuki three-drive selector mode and majestic build quality is what makes the bike a true show-stopper in every area. The company offers its limited edition model as well christened as Suzuki Hayabusa Z that comes with a Yoshimura R77J slip-on silencer. The bike is available at a price of Rs. 15.95 lakhs while its limited edition, Hayabusa Z is priced at Rs. 16.20 lakhs (both ex-showroom prices, Delhi). The bike competes strongly with worldwide speed leaders such as Yamaha YZF-R1 and Honda CBR1000RR.

    After the release of Bollywood blockbuster “Dhoom”, the astonishing Suzuki GSX-1300R Hayabusa maintained its charm quite well in the eyes of Indian population. It remains to be a prime preference of buyers when it comes to own a high-end sports bike. Powering it is a 1,340cc, four-stroke, four-cylinder motor that churns out a maximum power of 197bhp at 9,500rpm along with a peak torque of 155Nm at 7,200rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed constant mesh gearbox that pushes the bike to hit a top speed of 299kmph.

    Suzuki Hayabusa runs on 120/70-ZR17 front and 190/50-ZR17 and rear tubeless tyres with black alloys. The stopping distance is controlled by 320mm dual discs at the front integrated with high-quality Brembo piston callipers and a single 240mm disc brake at the rear. The suspension kit of the bike includes inverted telescopic forks at the front and spring loaded hydraulic monoshock at the rear. The aesthetic value of the bike is high enough to place it among one of the most desirable bikes in the world. The front profile has a super styled headlamp section integrated with a fascinating projector light and elegant clear lens turn indicators.

    The manufacturer has equipped the bike with a sporty and well cushioned step-up seat that looks ravishing besides providing comfort to the riders. Suzuki Hayabusa has body dimensions of 2,190mm x 735mm x 1,165mm (LxWxH) with a wheelbase and minimum ground clearance of 1,480mm and 120mm respectively. The bike is fitted with a huge 21 liter fuel tank to give it a longer range without refuelling. The cockpit of the bike remains old-fashioned comprising of an analogue speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and digital twin trip meters.

    Suzuki GSX 1300R Hayabusa has an appreciable designed body with edgy surfaces all around. After a considerable amount of cosmetic touch-up, the latest edition of this Japanese beauty has a striking front appearance by the presence of a sharp headlamp section which incorporates a powerful projector light along with twin pilot lamps. The clear lens turn indicators that are fitted impressively besides air vents look smashing as well. The high aerodynamics and spectacular body dynamics makes it one of the most epic supersports of the world.

    Coming towards the rear end, the bike receives a sporty step-up seat and full LED tail lamp unit. The dual exhaust system, equipped on either sides look stunning and makes it look more aggressive. However, the limited edition of Hayabusa, Hayabusa Z caters the rider with an advanced Yoshimura R77J slip-on exhaust set-up. The bike comes with body dimensions of 2,190mm x 735mm x 1,165mm (LxWxH) and a massive fuel tank of 21 liter capacity. The bike has a wheelbase of 1,480mm and a minimum ground clearance of 120mm which offers a high level of handling and stability to the rider.

    The instrument cluster goes traditional with an analogue speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and digital twin-tripmeters along with the telltale lights. The company has also installed three drive selector modes to enable the rider adjust his ride according to the environment and road conditions. The standard version comes in two breathtaking color schemes: Metallic Thunder Grey with Glass sparkle Black and Pearl Bracing White with Metallic Mystic Silver. On the other hand, Hayabusa Z comes in two dual tone paint schemes of Pearl Vigor Blue with Metallic Mystic White and Pearl Bracing White with Metallic Mystic Silver.

    One of the most iconic supersports in the country, Suzuki Hayabusa houses a powerful four-stroke, four-cylinder, DOHC motor that displaces 1,340cc. The mill dishes out an impressive 197hp at 9,500rpm with a peak torque figure coming to 155Nm at 7,200rpm. The electronic transistorized ignition system brings life to it with the help of an easy electric starter. The six-speed constant mesh gearbox does pure justice with the power delivery of the bike with well balanced gear ratios. With this hardware, Hayabusa hits a commendable top speed of around 299kmph that makes it stand among the fastest superbikes across the globe.

    The bike moves with grace on 120/70-ZR17 front and 190/50-ZR17 rear tubeless tyres that are mounted over stylish black alloy wheels. With the inverted telescopic fork set up at the front and link type spring loaded monoshock at the rear, the bike absorbs the bumps of the road pretty effortlessly. The fierce stopping power to the beast is provided by 320mm dual disc brakes at the front and a single 240mm disc brake at the rear. To further refine the braking characteristic, Suzuki has blessed the bike with a lightweight, high-performance ABS unit that works well with Brembo monobloc front brake callipers in all conditions.

    Suzuki Hayabusa boasts a high performance ABS (Anti Lock Braking System) and Brembo front callipers that offer a high precision braking benefit. This proves helpful in case of an emergency and tight road conditions. Moreover, the 120/70-ZR17 tubeless tyre at the front and 190/50-ZR17 tubeless tyre at the rear do not deflate suddenly in case of a puncture. The bike has a powerful 12V-35/35W headlight at the front with a highly luminous projector light that brightens up even the darkest roads. These features make the bike more trustworthy and desirable in terms of safe and secure sports biking.
