25th August, 2015: Mahindra Rodeo is a robust 125cc offering that was introduced few years ago to cater the youth and commuting people of the society. The scooter gets its power from a 124.6cc, air-cooled, four-stroke engine that puts out 8bhp of power and 9Nm of torque. The company has launched its sportier version few months back christened as Mahindra Rodeo UZO 125 that comes in a race-inspired livery with racing stripes running down over its entire body length. The machine features some impressive safety and convenient features such as a 4-in-1 anti theft key and large underseat storage. Mahindra Rodeo comes in seven attractive colours namely: Mystique Violet, Flame Orange, Electric Green, Onyx Blue, Derby Red, Fiery Black and Pearl White. On the other hand, its racier version sports an interesting black and red dual tone colour scheme. The vehicle competes strongly against Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Access 125.

    Mahindra two wheelers currently offers five scooters in the Indian automotive market which aims at different classes of people and come to cater different purposes. Mahindra Rodeo is one such product by the company that comes with a stylish and trendy body design and promises a power-packed yet safe daily commuting. The scooter is doing well in the market and is slowly emerging as one of the best selling products by the manufacturer.

    Mahindra Rodeo gets its power from a 124.6cc, four-stroke engine that comes linked to an automatic gearbox. The mill churns out a maximum power of 8.00bhp at 7,000rpm with a peak torque of 9Nm at 5,500rpm. With a bore x stroke ratio of 52.4mm x 57.8mm, the scooter sprints from 0 to 60kmph in 9.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 80kmph besides delivering a decent fuel efficiency. The vehicle has been assisted with telescopic shock absorbers at the front that handles even the roughest of roads with ease. It moves on 3.50" - 10" front and rear tyres that have a good adhesion property, thereby offers a good on-road grip. The scooter slows down with the help of reliable 130mm drum brakes installed at the front and rear.

    The front profile of the scooter has a robust head lamp unit that matches well with the oval-shaped clear lens blinkers present on the apron. The body coloured rear view mirrors look fascinating and alerts the rider of any incoming traffic. The front telescopic forks with rubber elements looks astonishing and takes on any surface with ease. Moving towards the rear, it has a wide and long well-cushioned seat that offers a top notch comfort. Mahindra Rodeo comes with the largest underseat storage in its class that make it a handy 125cc machine. The body coloured rear grab rail looks ravishing and make it more appealing. The end portion has a stylish tail lamp with clear lens blinkers. The body coloured rear grab rail and a sporty black exhaust further upgrades the visuals of this scooter. Rodeo UZO 125 is the sporty version of the scooter that comes with a race-inspired paintwork incorporating racing lines running through its entire body. Furthermore, it has red coloured front alloy wheels that looks magnificent making a perfect combo with the black coloured rear ones.

    Mahindra Rodeo has body dimensions of 1,790mm x 650mm x 1,100mm (LxWxH) with a wheelbase and minimum ground clearance of 1,245mm and 154mm respectively. A 4.50 liter capacity fuel tank gives a good range for uninterrupted daily commutes. Moreover, a 4-in-1 key also comes in stock that proves handy by unlocking all the elements through a single key hole. The powerful battery ensures a brighter beam of light even under low rpm conditions.

    Mahindra Rodeo is a mid weight scooter that comes with an impressive body design. The front section is commanded by a stylish headlamp section. The apron has clear lens turning blinkers neatly embedded into it. The scooter has a long and comfortable seat that comes well-padded to provide comfort to the rider and pillion. At the rear, a body coloured grab rail looks appealing and enhances the overall feel. The tail end section comprises of a well-designed trapezoidal tail lamp integrated with clear lens turn indicators.

    Mahindra Rodeo receives the following body dimensions: 1,790mm x 650mm x 1,100mm (LxWxH). It has a wheelbase of 1,245mm and a minimum ground clearance of 154mm that give it good handling and stability. The instrument cluster of the machine displays plenty of information that comprises of a speedometer, odometer and a fuel gauge along with telltale lights. The scooter has a large underseat storage area that can accommodate even a full-sized along with some other stuff. It has a fuel tank of 4.50 liter capacity that give it a good range without any stoppage.

    Mahindra Rodeo is powered by a 124.6cc, four-stroke engine that comes mated to an automatic transmission setup. It develops a maximum power of 8.00bhp at 7,000rpm with a net torque of 9Nm at 5,500rpm. The air-cooled mill has a bore x stroke ratio of 52.4mm x 57.8mm and it pushes the vehicle to a maximum speed of 80kmph. 

  • Braking & Handling

    The scooter is equipped with 130mm drum brakes at both ends that provide a good stopping power. The suspension duties are carried out impressively by telescopic forks upfront and swingarm with coil spring aided shock absorbers at the rear. Mahindra Flyte runs on grippy 3.50" - 10" tyres at both ends that are mounted on stylish alloy wheels. 

  • Safety Features

    Mahindra Rodeo has a bright 12V-35/35W headlight that offers a good vision at nights. The scooter comes with durable and reliable front telescopic fork suspension that make journeys stress free and soothing. Furthermore, the vehicle comes with a 4-in1 anti-theft key that allows the rider do multiple tasks with a single key and key hole only. Mahindra Rodeo UZO 125 further sports a side stand safety buzzer that informs the rider about side stand and hence prevents any mishap. All these features make it a trendy and trustworthy 125cc scooter in the Indian market.
