Lohia Auto offers its stylish electric scooter that comes with adorable body design and a bunch of convenient features. Christened as Lohia Oma Star, it promises a minimum running cost of 10 paisa per km, which is surely a huge benefit for the common masses. As the electric vehicle sales is expected to go for a boom with the recently announced FAME India scheme by the Indian Government, the hopes of the manufacturer also rises up towards the overall sales report of its products.

Lohia Oma Star is powered by a 48V rated, 250 Watt electric motor that uses a 20Ah maintenance free battery for its power supply. Taking around 6 to 8 hrs to get completely charged, the battery gives a range of 60km to the scooter. On the other hand, its elder mate Lohia Oma Star DX has a 30Ah battery that gives a range of 80km per full charge.

Lohia Oma Star is fitted with 16x3” wheels and its braking is controlled by 80mm drum brake at the front and 110mm drum brake at the rear. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and spring aided shock absorbers at the rear.

Lohia Oma Star has body dimensions of 1,800mm x 650mm x 1,030mm (LxWxH) that gives it a traditional mid-size scooter appearance. The front end has a stylish edgy headlamp that looks impressive with the clear lens turning blinkers mounted at the front apron. The scooter has a wide and longer seat to provide comfort to rider and pillion. The rear portion comes with a stylish body coloured grab rail along with an angular tail lamp section that looks impressive and gives a premium look to the scooter. The company has also fitted a glove compartment at the front for convenience. Lohia Oma Star has a digital instrument console that displays useful information like speed, remaining battery charge and distance covered.

Lohia Oma Star has been designed on the platform of a lightweight entry level electric scooter. The overall body design is just usual but impressive with the sharp curves and detailings involved. The front profile gets a multi-reflector trapezoidal headlamp that looks edgy and enhances the visuals. The clear lens indicators are embedded into the apron and keeps the rider safe by blinking on turns to alert others.
