Honda has re-launched its popular scooter Honda Aviator a few months back in India, later it was displayed in Delhi Auto Expo 2010. At present, Honda Aviator is available in two variants viz. Honda Aviator Deluxe and Honda Aviator STD. As it is apparent by its name that the main difference between these variants is in its braking system, however, width factor is also different for the variants.

The Honda Aviator comes with upgraded 109cc of engine capacity and is incorporated with 4 stroke, single cylinder, air cooled, OHC. The mill of the Honda Aviator is capable of generating a top power of 8 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 0.9 kg-m of torque at 5,500 rpm. The scooter is equipped with both self and kick start option as well. It has V-Matic type of transmission.

The Deluxe variant of Honda Aviator comes embedded with front disc brake and rear drum brake. The scooter has front telescopic fork and rear unit swing with spring loaded hydraulic damper. In addition, Honda Aviator now has bigger front wheel and 10 inch rear wheel along with fatter tyres. The machine has wider under seat storage that is of 20 litres where you can put your full size helmet and other small stuffs. The rear tyre uses tuff-up tube that promises less chances of puncture.

The front panel of the Honda Aviator has got chrome cover that gives it amazing look. Front turn indicators are stacked vertically, it also come in long size. The headlamp cluster houses multi-focal halogen lamp that ensures clear vision at dark. All the front panels are in body colour. The rear side has unique shape multi-reflector tail lamp and integrated sweeping style rear side indicators.

The dimension of the new Honda Aviator is very impressive. The dimension of the scooter is Length- 1802 mm, Width- 697 mm for DLX and 703 mm for STD and Height- 1162 mm. The wheelbase of the Honda Aviator is 1256 mm and the ground clearance is 145 mm. The kerb weight of the scooter is 102.30 kg. The fuel tank of the scooter is of 6 liters. The seat height is 790 mm.

Honda Aviator is a very smart and stylish scooter. The scooter comes in alloy wheels. The alloy wheels present in the Honda Aviator offers very stylish, robust and sporty look. The front wheel is of 12 inch and the rear wheel is of 10 inch.

The sizes of the tyres which are present in the Honda Aviator are 90/90-12 54J for the front wheel and 90/100-10 53J for the rear wheel. The big size of the tyre will offer greater control on roads and minimizes the rate of skidding. The tyre used are tuffup tube tyres in the rear wheel which reduces the chance of puncture to the extent of 70%.
