Hero MotoCorp Impulse Designing

Hero Motocorp Impulse is definitely a bike to look out for. With its unique looks and styling, it stands apart from other bikes. It is really hard to avoid giving a second look to it. The bike, with its unique on and off road styling, has more of a dirt bike look. The idea pursued by Hero Motocorp is original in its own way, and has successfully paid off. The front fender is placed well above the 19-inch wide tire, which gives it a proper dirt bike look. The sporty visor above the crispy headlight is definitely sporty. The sharp edged cowl and significantly high placed exhaust pipe adds to the off road capabilities of the dirt basher. The LED taillight is a real eye-catcher along with its indicators. The Motocross seat is something inspired from the dirt bikes. The aggressive looking fuel tank with its aerodynamic design is designed to suit the off road terrain along with the smooth spotless roads. This bike carries off the spoke wheels very well and the absence of alloy wheels is just not felt. Hero Motocorp Impulse carries a funky ano-digital instrument cluster. This analog and digital combo looks quite cool. It features a digital speedometer along with an analog tachometer. It also features a ‘service due’ indicator.

Hero MotoCorp Impulse Engine And Performance

The bike, keeping the brand name intact, is fitted with powerful engine. Hero Motocorp Impulse is fitted with the same 150 cc engine as in Hero Motocorp Hunk or X-treme with slight re-tuning. The bike is equipped with a 149.2 cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 9.7 kW at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 13.4 N-m at 5000 rpm. The bike, different in specifications from its siblings, has almost the same heart as them. The 5-speed manual gearbox is smooth in shifting and follows 1 down and 4 up pattern. The increase in torque and decrease in power is an effort by Hero to make it equally compatible on and off the road. The throttle response is very crispy, and the bike generates very high speeds. Acceleration is commendable and the bike can easily reach 60 kilometers per hour in about 5 seconds. The lighter weight of the bike helps to generate excellent response and better pick-up. There are no signs of vibrations even at higher speeds and it can easily reach 120 kilometers per hour mark. The performance of the bike on and off the road are equally appreciable.

Hero MotoCorp Impulse Braking And Handling

Handling and suspension of this bike was the most important task ahead of the leading bike manufacturers, Hero Motocorp and they never disappointed us. Suspension offered by the bike is excellent, both on and off the road. It is fitted with telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers in the front while at the back swing arm mono suspension with nitrox is present. The cable suspension system is equally compatible on and off the road, making it a healthier competition for other bikes of this 150 cc segment. Its suspension sustains most of the bumps and the tires hold really well, even off the road. It is fitted with a 240 mm disc brake in the front wheel and a 110 mm shoe type brake in the rear wheel. Massive ground clearance of 245 mm enables it to clear almost every obstruction on the road. The lightweight of the bike is one of its major advantage that allows it maneuver smoothly in the city traffic. The Motocross seat inspired from dirt bikes is very comfortable and the sporty riding stance works fine even for long journeys.

Hero Motocorp Impulse is equipped with standard safety features. Hero Motocorp has provided the bike with excellent disc brakes and shock absorbers for its off road rides. Hero Motocorp Impulse is fitted with front leg guard and saree guard at the back for safety.

Hero Motocorp Impulse is available in a single variant, front disc and rear shoe type brake. There is no option for rear disc brake. Hero Motocorp Impulse is available in five different enticing shades- tar black, deep blue sea, terra rossa, grassland green, & canyon orange. The pricing done by Hero Motocorp for Impulse is relatively higher considering a 150 cc bike, but still keeping in mind its trendy style and off road capability, the price tag is justified.
