Hero MotoCorp Ignitor
Hero MotoCorp, who is famous to manufacturer the most reliable motorcycles in the country launched Ignitor to set the 125cc segment of bikes on fire. The manufacturer seems to have used the designing of Honda CBF Stunner to craft this motorcycle. The bike looks sporty for a 125cc segment which helps it gain a good number of customers. The motorcycle was made available in the country a few years back and till date its sales figure are growing.
Hero MotoCorp has used a 124.7cc, air-cooled, 4 – stroke, single cylinder, OHC engine to run this motorcycle. The ATFT (Advanced Tumble Flow Induction Technology) engine is coupled with a 5-speed gearbox and manages to produce 10.9bhp of power with 11Nm of torque. It runs very smoothly and delivers a decent mileage that feels light on pocket. The fuel tank capacity that multiplies the mileage of the machine is of 9 liters.
Hero MotoCorp Ignitor is assembled on a Tubular, Diamond Type chassis, which is clipped to 80/100 x 17 - M/C 46 P front and 100/90 x 17 - M/C 55 P rear tubeless tyres. Five-spoke alloy wheels are equipped to the tyres that sport 130mm drum brake at both the ends, while 240mm disc brake at the front has been kept as an option. The suspension system comprises of front Telescopic Hydraulic Shock Absorbers and rear Swing Arm with Adjustable Hydraulic Shock Absorbers.
The machine is made available in five active colors and stylish graphics stacked on the semi-fairing, engine cowl and side panels.
At first glance, the Ignitor looks quite alike Honda Stunner and that is because there is almost no difference between these two in terms of design. The core design and dimension of this bike is taken from its erstwhile partner's bike; therefore, it can be easily mistaken as Stunner. However, Hero has tried to make it look different from Stunner. The differences found between the two are semi fairing, headlight, engine cowl, muffler, front fender, instrument cluster and side panels. The front profile of the machine is quite edgy and attractive with bright headlight and long black visor. The body colored front fender and rear view mirrors makes it look more presentable.
The precisely designed semi fairing of the motorcycle enhances the overall appearance of the machine and boasts of likeable graphics plus side indicators. The motorcycle is bestowed with a split seat with a body colored grab rail that works as a charmer as well as a safety element. The rear suspension is red in color and adds a groovy touch to the design. The engine cowl is petite yet sporty and is dipped in body color and graphics. The fuel tank looks sporty with the fairing and improves the riding posture. All-black muffler gives an elegant touch to the bike. The tyres equipped to the machine are wide enough to offer a good grip to the rider and with 5-spoke black alloy wheels, appearance is also aided.
The overall dimensions of the motorcycle are 2010mm x 710mm x 1095mm (lxwxh). Wheelbase of the bike is 1270mm with a minimum ground clearance of 175mm. With a kerb weight of just 129kg, the machine can afford a maximum payload of 130kg.
Engine And Performance
Hero MotoCorp Ignitor is powered by a 124.7 cc, single cylinder, four-stroke engine. The air-cooled and OHC engine churns out a maximum power production of 10.9bhp at 8000 rpm with an utmost torque output of 11Nm at 5000rpm. The engine of this two-wheeler is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with gear-shift pattern of one down and the rest, up. With decent fuel efficiency, the fuel tank capacity offered by the machine is 9 liters.
Braking And Handling
The 130 mm drum brakes at both the ends offer the riders with a wonderful riding experience. The manufacturer also offers 240mm disc brake for the front wheel. The ride is made more enjoyable by equipping the bike with very efficient suspension system. The front suspension is powered by telescopic forks whereas it features hydraulic shock absorbers at its rear.
As far as the safety measures of Hero Ignitor are concerned, Hero has tried its best to make this two-wheeler better. It comes with side guards which avoid direct injury during a fall. This bike would have gone one step ahead then Stunner if it had boasted an Anti-lock Braking System.
The colours in which this commuter is going to be available are four; Pearl White, Sports Red, Vibrant Blue and Panther Black Metallic. At least, Hero has done a little well in this area in order to turn it a different bike.

Hero MotoCorp Ignitor Review
I brought "her", Hero Ignitor in July 2013, and I treat my bike like my woman. Just wanted to let you all know, that whatever is written in fuel efficiency row about this bike, is all fake. actually the bike will give you reading of 67KMPL if you put shell super in your bike, and 65KMPL if you put shell normal fuel in it. About bike economy : "She" produces 1500 RPM on shell fuels due to its slightly large density and slight change in natelite. Although, if you fill indian oil fuel, she will produce, 2000RPM, of course, its due to its low density, causing large supply of fuel to your...
i got my IGNITOR on 9th august 2013......all i can say is if u r bored by watching SHINE, DISCOVER & SPLENDORS.....just go for IGNITOR which has (fresh & stylish looks + mileage). Riding & Handling is awesome...seating posture is best & much comfortable.
