Hero MotoCorp Glamour

If we shall have to go back and name one of the most successful 125 cc bikes from Hero, we will name Hero Glamour which, has been a success story for the leading manufacturer since its launch. After the end of a long venture with Honda, Hero has lately launched the all new upgraded version of Glamour with a couple of alterations. This bike stands true to its name, featuring more styling and poise with its decent design. The Glamour looks more or less alike to the Super Splendour and although this is lower than the likes of Pheonix 125. This bike still falls in the mid-range since it is higher than what the likes of Slingshot Plus have to offer. Let us get into the detailing of Hero Glamour and find out what this commuter exactly has new to offer to the enthusiast buyers.

Hero MotoCorp Glamour Designing

As far as the designing of the latest Hero Glamour is concerned, it proves that in this field it is no less than any other commuter of the same range. The major changes are made to its front that has been styled differently to make the eye-balls of the beholders roll. The latest tinted visor and sleek cowl that this bike features, looks perfectly well with its new crystal clear lens indicators. The bike is enriched with body coloured rear view mirrors. The black coloured alloy wheels, engine, front leg guard and silencer all are painted in black, look good. The seat has been designed well keeping the comfort of the rider and the pillion in mind.

Hero MotoCorp Glamour Appearance

Appearance wise, this bike seems to leave many of its opponents way behind. What gives it a sporty look, is its graphics. The manufacturer have used it brilliantly that seems laudable. The tank shrouds with FI scribbled on it, adds more to its sporty character and look eye-catching. Hero, having made these changes in the Glamour, this bike still lacks a lot and there are may areas where it needs improvement. However, it has been designed in a way that is better than before and can still be kept above many commuters. This two-wheeler may not seem as glamorous as its name but has acceptable looks for sure. The all new Hero Glamour is out in four variants; Glamour, Glamour Disc, Glamour Fi and Glamour Fi Disc.

In terms of colours, this new Hero Glamour is going to appear in five attractive and vital dual-tone shades such as; Candy Blazing Red, Black with Tornado Grey Metallic, Black with vibrant Orange, Black with Sports Red and Black with Frost Blue metallic. This bike really features a wide range of hues to give the consumers a chance to grab the Glamour painted in their own choice of colour.

Engine And Performance

Hero MotoCorp Glamour Engine And Performance

On the grounds of its engine's capacity and performance, this motor-cycle is undoubtedly one of the best commuter bikes. It is blessed with an air-cooled, 4 stroke, OHC engine which is capable of offering the displacement of 124.7 cc. The single cylinder and twin-valve engine dishes out a maximum power out put of 9.1 Bhp available at 7000 rpm, on the other hand, the utmost torque this engine delivers, is 10.35 Nm comes at 4000 rpm. Such power is enough for day-today commuting needs, especially for the ones who have field work ride for hours everyday.

Hero MotoCorp Glamour Mileage

A commuter is usually considered a bike of middle-class and for them, the mileage of a bike matters a lot. Nevertheless, this two-wheeler does not disappoint them and delivers the fuel-consumption of 62 kmpl on the traffic-packed roads of a city whereas on long runs its fuel-efficiency touches a dreamy mark of 80 kmpl. The mileage of the bike is undoubtedly outstanding, especially, at the time when petrol-prices are on fire and going to be out from the reach of the common man soon.

Braking And Handling

As far as the braking and handling of this motor-cycle is concerned, it is equipped with a more efficient braking set-up. Besides, the optional front disc brake of 240mm, the standard variant of Glamour has 130mm drum brakes the front and at the bottom respectively. This bike comes without the ABS system, however, the drum brakes do well for this bike. The suspension structure of this commuter has been built more effective to offer the riders every journey of them more comfortable even if they choose to go off-road quite often. The suspension system is adequate according to its weight. It is powered by telescopic front forks while at the rear, it features hydraulic shock absorbers for luxury riding experiences.

The riding and handling of this bike is also very smooth. It has a very light handling which is more effective on the traffic-packed roads of cities. The bike can be used easily and feels stable. You feel carefree on highways as its tyres stick firmly to the roads and make you confident. One thing that makes you worried, is its low ground clearance of just 150mm and will create a problem when it will be ridden on the roads with potholes, and big speed breakers will not let it go easily. Another concerning issue occurs when it is ridden around the corners. The wheelbase of 1265 mm gives less stability and its real test comes around the corners where it feels very scary and at top speed.

Safety Features

The more efficient braking system increases the safety of the riders and the bike as well. It has enough storage space under its seat. In addition, it features a bag hook near the back fender. There is also a front leg guard for safety. The seat of the bike has been designed the way that the rider and the pillion can sit comfortably and with safety even for long riding hours. The effective suspension structure play a notable role in its safety. The Glamour sports 5-spoke 18 inch alloy wheels along with wide tyres offer a safe ride everytime.

Overall, this latest Hero Glamour is up for its refined and silent engine, extraordinary fuel-efficiency and reasonable price.

To own this two-wheeler one has to loosen up his wallet up to 10K more for its FI variant which really makes no sense as it has same specifications.
