Yamaha MT-15 aka M-SLAZ revealed in Thailand

Yamaha has revealed its 150cc naked street fighter M-SLAZ also known as MT-15 in Thailand before its Indonesian preview next month. The naked sibling of R15 has been spotted testing in Indonesia many times. We are still not sure if Yamaha India will bring this 150cc motorcycle here.

Instead of following its faired sibling, this bike boasts of a fresh design, unique headlamp, muscular fuel tank along with sharp extensions having a black plastic insert at the top, a sporty tail lamp with split seats, a belly pan enclosing the engine and a small LED tail light.

Also, M-SLAZ houses a new inverted telescopic suspension on the front and the mono-shock suspension system at the rear. Built on a Deltabox chassis, this naked street fighter features alloy wheels and disc brakes at both front and rear sides. Engine details are not clear, but we assume that this motorcycle will be having same 150cc single-cylinder, liquid cooled engine that is seen in R15 V2.0 and which is mated to 6-speed transmission. The fuel injected motor is expected to produce 16.7bhp of power output and peak torque of 15Nm.

Other details will come out once it makes its debut in Indonesia.
