Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd registered 23 percent growth in 2014

Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd  witnessed a robust growth in the year 2014 with the successful launch of its family-oriented scooter- ‘Alpha’ as well as all new FZ-S FI Version 2.0, Fazer FI Version 2.0, FZ FI Version 2.0 and SZ-RR Version 2.0. All of there were instrumental in boosting sales to new levels. Driven by its innovative efforts, ongoing customer-centric activities and exciting product line-ups, the Company strengthened its position by clocking domestic sales of 5,66,586 units in 2014, compared to 4,61,814 units in 2013, registering a 23% growth over the previous year.

 



The Company sold 44, 602 units in December 2014 as against 39,777 units sold in December 2013 in the domestic market, thereby registering a sales growth of 12%.

Speaking on the results, Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd, said, “The year 2014 has indeed been an exceptional year for us as we launched our first family scooter Yamaha Alpha this year alongside the new versions of the FZ series and SZ-RR version 2.0 equipped with Breakthrough Blue Core Technology. With these new launches we maintained consistency in overall growth and the results speak for themselves. Our relentless efforts to rev up sales, backed by innovative marketing strategies and an impeccable product portfolio across segments, have reaped robust results."
