The naked sport styled new Apache shares many design lines with the exciting Draken Concept, showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. And it can be seen in the extended fuel tank cowl of the test mule and its alloy wheels. The new images also revealed that 2016 Apache will feature an eccentrically mounted fuel cap on the tank and a much different split seat. There is a sharp headlight on the bike without any visor and the clip-ons are also looking redesigned.

The front forks on the upcoming TVS Apache are looking wider along with the tyres, like those coming with the Yamaha FZ or Suzuki Gixxer. The rear grab rail of the bike is also new and unique than any motorcycle in the market like its twin-port exhaust muffler. It has a mono-shock type suspension at the rear, which is expected to be a gas-charged, adjustable type. The braking system of the bike will continue to feature the same dual petal disc brakes and most probably, the ABS feature will remain optional.

Now Coming to the most interesting topic of the bike, its engine. The new Apache was expected to be powered by a 200cc, liquid-cooled engine like the Bajaj Pulsar 200 range. However, you can see an air-cooled motor on the test mule, which could be between 160-200cc. That means TVS is preparing a competitor against the Yamaha FZ range and Suzuki Gixxer in the form of its upcoming Apache.
