Sales of Bajaj Motorcycles record a drop of 5% in the month of September, 2015

Bajaj Auto, one of the highest motorcycle manufacturers in India, has recorded 5 percent decrease in motorcycles sales in September 2015 as compared to the sales in the same month last year. The company sold 3,30,228 units of motorcycles in the month of September this year while the sales of the same month in 2014 was 3,47,010 units. So if we go by the numbers, Bajaj sold around 16,782 units less.

Bajaj has exported 1,73,801 units in last month while 1,74,211 units were exported in September 2014 again this is, 410 units less than the previous year.

Though, the company has registered a 3 percent increase in the sales of Commercial vehicles in September this year against the corresponding month of last year. But overall the company has recorded 4 percent drop in the sales of motorcycles and commercial vehicles.

However, the company is geared up to launch the much awaited new Bajaj Avenger by the end of this month. Reports are that the all new design resembles with the Harley-Davidson Street 750 and it will also get new alloy wheels along with digital odometer. Recently, the company has also launched ‘Fear the Black’ Edition of Pulsar RS200 in Demon Black paint scheme. Hopefully, this upcoming festive season may bring the cheer to this Indian manufacturer.
