Royal Enfield Registers 49 Percent Growth this Year, Opens Second Flagship Store in UK

The two-wheeler subsidiary of Eicher Motors, Royal Enfield recently revealed their latest sales report. The company has witnessed a whopping 49 percent growth in its overall sales that includes both, domestic and export operations. The manufacturer sold a total of 40,760 units till July 2015 since the same period of last year. Talking about individual sector growth, the domestic section saw a growth of 49 percent as well, while the exports statistics clocked an impressive growth of 72 percent.

Commenting on Royal Enfield’s performance, Siddhartha Lal, MD & CEO Eicher Motors Ltd. said, “Royal Enfield continues its strong momentum by posting robust volume growth and maintaining a very healthy order book in Q2 2015. We continue to make investments as per our plans towards capacity expansion, enhancing our brand experience and in product development. Towards this, Royal Enfield made a talent acquisition in June 2015 in UK where it acquired Harris Performance, a renowned engineering and motorcycle chassis designing firm. Their proven expertise, deep insight and understanding of motorcycling and Royal Enfield will be invaluable for us in our journey towards achieving leadership in the global mid-sized motorcycling segment”

Continuing its journey of setting global benchmark, Royal Enfield opens another exclusive store in United Kingdom situated in at 20-28 Upper Green East, Mitcham, Surrey. This second store from RE has been extended to a fully fledged dealership from the existing Hartgate Motors store. Its concept is based on the Royal Enfield’s retail identity that replicates a motorcyclists living room, complete with a display of a dismantled Continental GT that has been carefully installed onto a rear wall. The store will be retailing all Royal Enfield motorcycles that include the Bullet, the Classic and the Continental GT cafe racer. It will also be retailing the full Royal Enfield Gear range of apparel and accessories that includes the latest collection inspired by the despatch riders of the great wars.

The company had put its Despatch inspired limited edition Classic 500 bikes on an online sale at their official online store, in which the 200 units allotted to India were sold out in a mere 26 minutes only. Royal Enfield will be organising its riders meet, RE South to cherish the true of motorcycling. This year’s first Royal Enfield REUnion-South is scheduled from August 21 – 23 in Coorg and the registrations have already commenced on RE Union South The riders will go through some of the most picturesque routes and breath-taking landscapes. With various fun filled motorcycling events lined up at the venue, REunion offers a much needed rejuvenation to the tired mind and soul of the urban rider.
