Royal Enfield registered 42 percent growth in March 2015

India’s most preferred touring motorcycle brand- Royal Enfield has registered an overall sales growth of 42 percent in March 2015. The company managed to sell 33,679 units of motorcycles in the respective month against the 23,693 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Royal Enfield sold 32,854 bikes in the domestic market in March 2015 with a hike of 42 percent, compared to the sales of 23,170 units in the same month of 2014. Export sales of the company in March, this year seen a rise of 58 percent with 825 units against the 523 units of the corresponding month in 2014.

 

The India based two-wheeler manufacturer is continuously showing a phenomenal sales hike and growing in both domestic as well as export markets. Although, Royal Enfield does not make mass segment motorcycles, it is benefited from increasing demand of premium segment motorcycles in India. The company offer motorcycles carrying thumping 350cc, 500cc and 535cc long stroke engines with their cost starting above Rs. 1 lac.

 

Current range of the Royal Enfield motorcycle contains 4 motorcycle models with different variants as follows:

Bullet: 350, Electra and 500

Classic: 350, 500, Chrome, Battle Green and Desert Storm

Thunderbird: 350 and 500

Continental GT: 535 (Cafe Racer)
