Piaggio Inaugurates First Motoplex Store in India

The Italian Automaker, Piaggio has added another feather to its cap. The company has now brought first of its kind Motoplex store in the Asian market. Located at Shop No.5, Nyati Unitree, Nagar Road Yerwada, Pune, the store aims to provide a common platform for the customers to get all the three brands (Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, and Vespa) under one roof.
The Motoplex is a part of Piaggio's strategy to offer complete retail services for the consumers and to enhance their buying experience. The store not just offers the complete range of scooters and motorcycles from its all the three brands, but also houses a workshop where maintenance and repairs for all the products could be conducted. The showroom also has a lounge for the customers with facilities like free wi-fi.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Stefano Pelle, Managing Director of Piaggio India said, “We are very happy to launch South Asia’s first Motoplex store in India. The Motoplex store is a futuristic concept that enables a dealer to leverage more brands and products within the same retail space. The Motoplex formula is the realization of the broader vision of the Piaggio Group in the field of offering its vehicles and developing a closer relationship with its customers and potential customers. Not only is this a showroom for Vespa, Moto Guzzi, Aprilia and Piaggio motorcycles and scooters, but it is also a fascinating experience of the renowned style, technology and heritage of two-wheeled vehicles which are proudly 'Made in Italy'. We'll launch more of these stores in the future, all over the Subcontinent".
Currently, the company sells SXL and VXL 150cc and 125cc scooters under the Vespa brand, while, under the Aprilia brand, the company outlet showcases the two RSV4s, three Caponord 1200s, Tuono V4 twins, Mana 850, Dorsoduro 1200 and the SRV 850 ABS scooter. Apart from that, the company presently offers Audace, Eldorado, California customs, the Touring SE and the Griso 1200 8V SE in its Indian line-up.
The company has three more Motoplex stores across the globe, two of which are located in its home country and the one is in the USA. The Italian two-wheeler manufacturer is also planning to open new showrooms in France, China, and Singapore.
