Liquid-Cooled TVS Apache RTR 200 to be Launched at 2016 Auto Expo Alongside Updated RTR 180

Earlier we reported the spy images of the upcoming TVS Apache 200 with a clear picture of the instrument cluster. Now, we have received another news relating to it that did really pleased us. As per recent sources, the upcoming Apache RTR 200 will be launched at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo, which is scheduled from 5th to 9th February ‘16 in Greater Noida. Besides, an updated version of the company’s flagship RTR 180 will also arrive alongside. The things really seem to be taking shape as earlier in August, TVS reported that they will be bringing three new models in the coming six months; out of which one will be a new Apache.

A teaser image of the upcoming RTRs is currently doing rounds on the internet that reveals their numerous features. Both bikes will arrive with an integrated racing instrument cluster, the image of which we reported yesterday. The meter includes a side stand indicator and a parking indicator that are absent in the existing Apache models. Besides this, the company has also equipped the bikes with an under seat mobile charger which it names as i-Charger. Unlike the current models, the new bikes will feature a horizontally set rear monoshock that will give a better ride quality. Further upgrades include an Astra Gold sprocket and Pirelli dual compound tyres for improved performance.

TVS Apache RTR 200 will also offer an ABS with Combi Braking system for an even more responsive braking and proper feedback from the brakes. Talking of engine, the 200cc bike will be fitted with a liquid-cooled, fuel injected motor that will surely give the big Pulsars some nail-biting competition. Clip-on handlebars, split step-up seat and sharp body styling are some more additional benefits that will enhance the value further. Talking of price, the Apache 200 will be priced somewhere around Rs. 1.5 lac (ex-showroom price), while the refreshed RTR 180 would continue to retail at the same price. Stay tuned for more updates!
