Hyosung to bring 250cc-400cc bikes in India

Hyosung, the owner of Korea based global super bike maker S&T Motors, is ready to bring its 250cc to 400cc bikes in India. The super bike provider has recently launched over 650cc bikes in India like supersports Hyosung GT 650R and a cruiser Hyosung ST7, it is now mulling over to bring some exciting 250cc to 400cc bikes in the Indian domestic market.

 

The company which prepares Yamaha oriented bikes has launched its assembly plant at Pune together with its Indian partner Garware Motors. The all new bikes GT650R and ST7 have to compete with Suzuki GSXR 750R, Harley Davidson SuperLow and Harley Davidson Iron 883.

 

Now the Hyosung-Garware is under consideration to target Indian entry-level sports bike segment; it is planning to launch 250cc to 400cc bikes in India by coming 3-5 years. If the Hyosung brings this segment bikes, they will be an answer to Yamaha, Bajaj, Hero Honda and Honda's entry level sports bikes such as Kawasaki Ninja 250R, Honda CBR 250R, Yamaha R15, upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 250, TVS Apache 250 and Mahindra Mojo 300. It is also expected that these entry-level sports bike would be available at competitor price range as they will be assembled in its Indian plant.

 

This is second time when the Korean giant entered in Indian two wheeler market. The company possesses good market share in International market and sold around 22,000 units. Its key market is US and South America where over 13,000 units have been sold while Europe & Australia are another profit giving market with 6,000-7,000 units sold. Now the company seeks to get good response by Indian customers with its reliable and well performer bikes.
