With its promise of bringing 15 products this year, Honda is just two steps away from fulfilling it. The two remaining Honda bikes that are waiting to see the sunlight are the CB Hornet 160 that is expected to launch on 19th November and a 125cc Mystery bike that was shown unexplained and unidentified at the Honda Revfest event held few months back. Finally, the three month long mystery got unfolded recently and the bike will be arriving as CB 125 Shine SP. As the name suggests, this new Honda will be an upgraded version of existing CB Shine and will help the company gain more sales numbers in this segment.

Recently, our friends at BikeAdvice shared the brochure image of the bike that clearly shows the cosmetic updates over the ongoing Shine. As seen in the picture, the 125cc machine will arrive with a redesigned Livo-inspired headlamp, new tail lamp and a restyled exhaust with chrome finish. Besides, parallel patterned 10-spoke alloy wheels have been added to the package and the rear shock absorbers receive a decent looking red paintwork. The side panels and the connected rear cowl, with a more aerodynamic design further intensifies the visuals. The CB 125 Shine SP will also get whole new graphics and a robust black coloured rear body grab rail to maintain the premiumness.

Talking of engine, the Shine SP will be powered by the same 124.7cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled motor that runs the existing Shine. However, we can see slight tunings in the engine in order to avail a better performance or an improved fuel economy. The stylish instrument console, electric start and tubeless tyres would maintain their presence obviously. Moreover, the bike would be getting front disc brake along with Honda’s CBS unit (Combined Braking System) in the top variant just like the CB Shine.

With the year running in its final months, we can expect the bike to be launched soon. As Shine SP is an updated version of CB Shine, Honda might price it slightly higher than the latter, which means above Rs. 60,000 for the top-end version. And who knows, Honda CB Shine SP might arrive along with the CB Hornet 160 to woo the Indian audience. Earlier, there were speculations that the bike is expected to replace the sporty CB Stunner but now it seems that it will be sold alongside only. Stay tuned to get more updates.
