As the Tamil Nadu high court has made wearing helmets compulsory for two-wheeler riders from July 1st, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India launched a Helmet Awareness Campaign. It will let you avail a 50 percent discount on Honda helmets if bought from a Honda dealership located across the state.

The campaign will cover almost all the cities of Tamil Nadu and will be spreading awareness along with cultivating safe riding habits among two-wheeler riders. Helmet awareness Rallies and road safety promotion activities have been planned for the major locations in all the cities.

Senior VP of Sales & Marketing for Honda Yadvinder S. Guleria said, "It is indeed a great initiative by Tamil Nadu Government in the direction to promote safe two-wheeler riding. As a responsible corporate, we support this initiative to promote adoption of helmets and reduce significant number of fatalities occurred by road accidents. The objective is to bring necessary change in approach of two wheeler riders in every possible way- be it presenting a strong case about the benefits for helmet usage, constant reminders through messages at various locations, mass movement and engagement exercises at every step."

Since 2001, Honda is promoting road safety in India and till date, it has 8 traffic training parks situated in Delhi, Jaipur, Cuttack, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad and Yeola (Nashik), where training is free of cost.
