Honda And Delhi Police Organised a Road Safety Event At Delhi

HMSI Road safety event at Delhi

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) is always active in promoting road safety since 1970. Recently HMSI, in association with Delhi Traffic Police, organised a road safety event with the aim to promote road safety at the 35th India International Trade Fair held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The aim of the event was to spread safety awareness among the people with special concentration on women and children. A good number of activities like painting competition, quiz, dart games etc. present were organised there for the children to educate them in a ‘Fun Way’.

At the event, the kids were imparted riding training on Honda CRF50 to make them learn on road safe riding aspects. Honda also conducted a riding posture demo and slow riding contest for the adults. Along with these activities, an attempt was made by the organisers to empower the women by conducting a training programmes in which they could learn to ride 2-­wheeler within four hours.

Mr. Yadvinder S. Guleria, Senior VP, Sales & Marketing, stated, “We have been a part of India International Trade Fair since 2007. It is a pivotal platform for us to inculcate road safety awareness, spread the joy of riding while following safety rules and good riding habits. Since IITF draws actual road users in huge numbers, it is a great medium to connect with people to instil the sense of Road-safety.”

The road safety event will be going on till 27th November and till date, HMSI has successfully trained more than 5 lac personnel at such events. Honda has adopted eight traffic training areas across the country including Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Jaipur Nasik, Hyderabad, Cuttack and two are in Delhi to upskill people about on­-road safety aspects.
