After several occasions of the bike’s unofficial entry into the Indian market, the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer has now officially released the one-up version of its best-selling 150cc machine christened as Hero MotoCorp Xtreme Sports. The newly launched motorcycle comes with more aggressive styling and its 150cc mill has been retuned to churn out a better power output, which the company claims as the best-in-class power in terms of existing 150cc motorcycle in the country. Going into the exact details, Hero MotoCorp Xtreme Sports is powered by the same 149.2cc, air-cooled, four-stroke engine that used to cater most of the 150cc bikes of the company. The mechanicals of the five-speed mill have been altered to deliver a net power of 15.6bhp at 8,500rpm with a peak torque of 13.5Nm at 7,000rpm. With this configuration, the bike sprints from 0 to 60kmph in just 4.7 seconds and returns a decent fuel economy as well.

Coming to the visuals, the engineers at the Gurgaon facility have spent enough quality time to craft this all-new and refreshing 150cc player. The front profile of the bike has been facelifted and given an impressive makeover, which is witnessed by the new headlamp section and the aerodynamic visor. The twin LED pilot lamps mounted separately above the headlights further enhances the appeal of this bike. Besides this, the bike receives a sporty split step-up that further intensifies the bike’s aggressive character. Apart from the mechanicals and visuals, Hero MotoCorp Xtreme Sports also get a host of interesting features such as a side stand indicator in the instrument cluster, tubeless tyres with a wider rear one and as sound braking system comprising of 240mm front and 220mm rear disc brake.

The company seems aggressive with the bike’s promotions as well. Hero announced that it will initiate a multimedia communication campaign for Xtreme Sports that will feature the renowned actor and true heartthrob of the nation - Ranbir Kapoor. After it gets live on television, it will find its appearance in print media and other platforms as well.

Hero MotoCorp Xtreme Sports is now available at the dealerships in following five attractive colours namely: Panther Black, Fiery Red, Mercuric Silver and the new Black-Red and Pyro Orange. The bike has been priced competitively at Rs. 72,725/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).
