Gixxer and Let's leads Suzuki Motorcycle India to register 7.35% growth

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. registered a sales growth of 7.35% in September 2014 as compared to the sales of the corresponding month in 2013. The company sold 44,873 units during the September 2014 against the 41,799 units in September 2013, recording a strong growth in its overall sales. This Hike is a result of the company's newly launched products- Let's and Gixxer.

Speaking on this strong growth pattern, Mr. Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President, SMIPL, said “We have received a good response from the market for all our products. The growing customer satisfaction has led to positive word-of-mouth in the market. Building on the existing goodwill, the Gixxer and Let’s are gaining strong foothold in the market. We will continue to give the best to our customers.”


Suzuki Lets


Suzuki Let's was launched in May 2014 as an entry level 110cc scooter, which is competing with the Hero Pleasure, Honda Activa-i and TVS Scooty Zest. The scooter is powered by an all new 110cc SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) engine, which churns out best-in-class power of 8.7bhp and claims to return a healthy mileage of 63kmpl. With a very affordable costing of Rs. 47,763 (on-road, Delhi), it features an unique aerodynamic styling, tubeless tyres, maintenance free battery, shutter key lock and mobile charger (optional).


Suzuki Gixxer


Launched in September 2014, Suzuki Gixxer is a 155cc street sport bike, which has been positioned against Hero Xtreme, Honda CB Trigger, TVS Apache RTR 160 and Yamaha FZ FI Version 2.0. The bike is powered by a new 154.9cc, 4-stroke engine, which delivers 14.6bhp of maximum power, while claiming fuel efficiency up to 62kmpl. It also gets some interesting features like aggressive styling, fully digital console, 41mm front telescopic forks, rear mono-shock suspension, light 3-split-spoke alloys, meaty 140 section rear and 100 section front tyres, stylish dual tone rear with LED tail lamp and sporty twin exhaust. Along with these features, the bike costs Rs. 79,957 (on-road, Delhi).
