If you are a Facebook user, you might have gone through some posts showing that 50 percent of the KTM owners are no more with us. Now, the same irresponsible FB users are apologizing for their offensive posts. Isn’t it strange?

Actually, when Bajaj Auto get to know about all this mess, it filed an official police complaint against these FB users for cybercrime and criminal act of defamation. According to the company, these posts were hampering the reputation and goodwill of the brand KTM globally. However, we also believe that these posts have also hurt the sentiments of KTM fans. After the complaint, most of the pages and people have removed the offending post on KTM and posted an apology for their mistake.

According to the complaint, FB pages- “The Back Benchers” and “Actor Rahul” were first to share the false post about KTM. Combined, these pages have over 18 lac visitors including around 17.5 lac of the prior one. Apart from that, many FB users and other pages were also sharing these posts to attract people and gain more traffic on their pages. However, they have also replaced the post with an apology.

Admin of “The Back benchers”- Amit Kumar has posted on the page, “On behalf of ‘The Back Benchers’ we hereby apologize to KTM - Ready to Race India for spreading baseless and misleading news about KTM motorcycles without having knowledge of the subject. We have already deleted the offending post and are sorry to have caused damage to the reputation of KTM and hurting the sentiments of millions of KTM fans.”

The another page admin- Surash Omana has also posted the similar words on his page on behalf of ‘Actor Rahul’. On the other hand, some of the popular pages are now educating the people on social media about the false posts against KTM.

The popular FB page- Rajnikant V/s CID Jokes has posted, “KTM DUKE Is 100% SAFE.. The News About 50% Who Bought DUKE Are Not ALIVE Which U May Have Seen In Last Few Days Is FAKE.. Don't Believe The Rumors Being Spread On Facebook Or WhatsApp.”

We all know that all the KTM motorcycles available in India- 200 Duke, 390 Duke, RC 200 and RC 390 are some of the safest motorcycles in production. These bikes have been approved by ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) and the Ministry of Transport. It is true that these are performance motorcycles, making power from 25bhp to 43bhp and can go really fast. However, it is up to you that how you manage this power with responsibility. The manufacturer is also giving some high-end safety features like ABS (with 390 Duke and RC 390 only) and grippy tyres. This is not the only brand offering performance motorcycles in India, but we also have some more powerful superbikes in the market, which churns out up to 200bhp. So, first think about all the facts before posting next time.
