The renowned American motorcycle sport company, Erik Buell Racing, which was supposed to sell its properties through bidding on 21st July, has now been rumoured to have been completely bought by its partner Hero MotoCorp. The firm announced the news of auction on its official Facebook page but on the contrary, nothing such actually happened on the scheduled date. This comes to us as a possibility that Erik Buell Racing might have been bought solely by the Indian manufacturer. Few months ago, Hero MotoCorp bought 49 percent shares of EBR and in return of that, the American giant agreed to become its official technology partner. As time passed, EBR realised that it isn’t getting the expected capital and that was the reason due to which it had to announce the painful stage of its bankruptcy. Due to this, the launch of an upcoming 250cc motorcycle, Hero HX250R that has been developed mutually by Hero and EBR has also been delayed further.

As per the sources, Erik Buell Racing will be given full time employment after acquisition and its existence won’t be in any trouble. With this, EBR WSBK team will too remain on the racetracks, which is a good news for its admirers and fans. However, there has not been any official confirmation from either of the two companies till now but as per the current scenario and past records, there is a full possibility that Hero MotoCorp might own up EBR and soon come up with a declaration.
