DSK Hyosung register 100% growth in 250 cc segment

Pune based DSK Hosyung motorcycles have registered a 100% rise in the sales of their 250cc motorcycles. The company has sold a total of 375 units of its GTR 250 and the Aquila 250 for the months of July – August 2014. The Aquila 250 which was launched earlier this year has been a huge hit for the company with 275 bookings in the first month itself. The product is also the only 250 cruiser motorcycle available in the country. The Hyosung GT 250R since being launched with new graphics and stylish headlamps has also becomes a favourite among motorcyclists.

Speaking about this accelerated growth performance, Mr. Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman DSK Hyosung said: “Growth in terms of sales has been phenomenal for the previous quarter. We have witnessed around 80-90% year-on-year growth this year when compared to the same period last year. The 250cc segment has always been the fastest selling segment for DSK Hyosung, this year it has been the game changer with new launches coupled with evolving customer buying patterns and organic growth in metros as well as tier II & II cities, and overall positive sentiment reflected within the economy. In the next couple of months, we are aiming to achieve a sales target of 300 bikes per month and are quite confident of accomplishing the same”.

DSK Hyosung currently has six vehicles in its portfolio.
