Confirmed: TVS to bring Apache 200 RTR in Coming Months

In a process to increase its market share, TVS motor company is planning to launch a 200cc variant of its highly successful Apache series. With this launch, the company is set to rival against the likes of KTM Duke 200 and Bajaj Pulsar 200. The bike was first unveiled as a Draken concept at the Auto Expo 2014 and we can expect the launch in November 2015.

The bike will be powered by 200cc, single cylinder, air cooled engine that will be mated to 6-speed transmission. This new 200cc engine will be a broader version of Apache’s 180cc engine and is expected to generate power around 20bhp, which is equipped with fuel injection system.

The all new Apache 200 has taken design inspiration from Draken, but it will be based on “RTR” platform, which Apache 160 and 180 also features. The bike will run on a new Michelin soft tyres that offer strong grip on the road. The bike will also feature disc brakes at both front and rear sides. We can also expect Combi braking system and Anti-lock braking system (ABS).

The bike may also feature headlamps with DRLs, split seats, clips on handlebar, mobile charging point, mudguard integrated LED tail light, digital instrument console and mono-shock suspension setup. Apart from Apache 200, the Indian automaker is also planning to bring the all new TVS Victor, which might feature 110cc, single cylinder engine.
