BMW to launch bikes in India

The world's major and super bike markers have been entered in Indian auto market with their all segment bikes, because this is the second biggest auto market in the world. World's leading super bike marker BMW is getting interest and seeks to launch its bikes in India.

Mr. Andreas Schaaf, President of BMW India said in a launch event held a few days back that they are planing to launch BMW super sports bikes in the Indian market because they have seen Indian bike lover getting interest in sports and tourer bikes. For it, the company to take final decision within one month.

Already the company has announced the launch BMW K 1300s for India. But the company is taking interest to launch it's whole segment bikes in India like BMW HP2 MegaMoto and BMW HP2 Sport, the “Enduro” category has BMW G 450 X, F650 GS, F 800 GS and R 1200 GS; the “Tour” segment is made up of BMW F 800 ST, R 1200 RT and 1300 GT; the “Urban” segment boasts of motorcycles such as BMW F800R, R 1200 R, K 1300 R; and the “Sports” division features BMW S 1000 RR. All these bikes have been blessed with 450cc to 1300cc power machine.

The company has big market in Korea and it is successful their. The BMW seeks to firstly launch S 1000 RR, K 1300 S and the tour bikes such as F 800 ST, R 1200 RT and K 1300 GT in the Indian market.

The Indian is market is growing with 40 percent per year and all segments bike are available here. The BMW seeks to grow its market share in Indian bike so it will launch competitor bikes than others like Honda’s CB1000R, CB 1000RR and VFR1200F; Yamaha’s MT01, YZF R1 and V-MAX, Suzuki’s Bandit 1250S, GSX R1000, Hayabusa and Intruder; Kawasaki’s Ninja 250 R and Harley Davidson bikes like Sportster, Dyna, VRSC, Softail and CVO.
