After a long wait, the Indian auto enthusiasts can finally hope for new Avenger series  and if the recent reports are to be believed, Bajaj Auto will be launching three new models of its popular cruiser bike, “Avenger” this week. Besides this, the other good news is that the manufacturer is planning to bring a new motorcycle brand to the country after almost a decade.

The revived series of the Bajaj Avengers is expected to come with the same 200cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill that used to empower the retired Pulsar 200NS. The 200cc engine cranks out a net power of 23.5bhp, which is more than what the existing Avenger 220cc engine pumps out. According to the company, the bike currently stands at a sale of 4,000 units per month and once these new models get launched, Bajaj believes sales to touch the figure of 20,000 units each month. Bajaj says that the new Avenger bikes will be aiming at the country’s executive bike segment that essentially needs such bikes. According to company sources they are expecting that the new bikes will boost their motorcycle market share to 23 percent which currently stands at 19 percent.

The all-new edition of Bajaj Avenger won’t get many changes visually however, speculations suggest that the new bike series may arrive with few chrome plated elements and a sleeker fuel tank design. Technically, these bikes might be equipped with an Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) and a rear disc brake to stay competitive in its segment. Talking of the new motorcycle brand, the sources reveal that it will be placed along with the Discover which currently holds a market share of around ten percent.
