Bajaj Avenger Street to Get Tubeless Tyres Soon

Bajaj has rolled out three new models of Avenger recently, namely Street 220, Cruise 220 and Street 150. The Pune based manufacturer has announced that it will introduce tubeless tyres for the Street trims in the coming months. All the variants of new Avenger come equipped with MRF Nylogrip Zapper tyres, but tubeless tyres are present only in the Cruise 220. The Street models resemble the styling of Harley-Davidson Street 750, whereas the Cruise 220 sticks to the current Avenger styling with added chrome accents. The price of Street 150 is Rs. 75,000 and for Street 220 and Cruise 220, the price is Rs. 84,000 (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).

Street 150 houses a 150cc, air-cooled, twin spark, 2-valve, DTS-i engine that churns out a maximum power of 14.54 PS at 9,000 rpm with a peak torque of 12.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. On the other hand, other two models come equipped with a 220cc, oil-cooled engine which produces a peak power output of 19.03 PS at 8,400 rpm and 17.5 Nm of maximum torque at 7,000 rpm. All the three variants of Avenger use 90/90 - 17” 49P tyre at the front and 130/90 - 15” 66P tyre at the rear. Street models employ black alloy wheels whereas the Cruise model sticks to chrome spoke wheels.
