Kawasaki has officially announced that it is going to unveil the updated version of its liter-class super sports machine in October at a glittering event in Barcelona, Spain. Besides this, the Japanese auto major has also released the teaser of this much-anticipated bike and must say, it seems really tempting. As per the teaser image, the updated ZX-10R is inspired from 2013 Kawasaki World Superbike Championship challenger bike that will add up some more racing genes to it.
The bike which made Tom Skyes won in the 2013 WSBK championship is being taken by Jonathan Rea to another level this year and the 2016 ZX-10R is heavily derived from it. The manufacturer claims that a lot of work has been done on the inside, contrary to what seems on the outside.
Kawasaki has made some considerable changes to the 2016 version of Ninja ZX-10R. The front cowl and fairing might be hugely inspired from the Kawasaki Ninja H2 or the H2R, as reported by us earlier. Besides this, retuned suspension setup will be integrated to offer soothing and comfortable ride quality. The company will also be adding an advanced Latest Cornering ABS unit for an even more responsive and precise braking.

Commenting on this, Mr. Yoshimoto Matsuda, Project Leader, KHI said, “This is not a ‘clean sheet’ design as the current Ninja ZX-10R is such a good base to develop from. With the new model we have focussed our development resources on an overall engineering and performance improvement. We are proud of the result; it means a significant advance in terms of both chassis and engine performance as well as providing the platform to introduce new, state of the art rider aids and other technology.”

Kawasaki firmly believes that the new ZX-10R will score well on the grounds of versatility and it will be more of an all-round performer instead of a track-focused machine. Lets hope for the best and pray that this machine make its way to Indian shores soon.

- Smooth engine, strong highway performance and sporI choose this bike mainly because of its smooth engine and highway comfort. It feels very stable at high speed and gives confidence while riding. Looks are sporty and premium which I liked. In city suspension feels little stiff but I was ok with that compromise. Ride experience is mostly positive. On highways it feels planted and smooth even at higher speed. Handling is very good and cornering feels safe. Mileage is decent not too low not too high.
