2015 Aprilia RSV4 RR and Tuono V4 1100 RR unveiled at EICMA

Aprilia- the Italian two-wheeler manufacturer unveiled the 2015 RSV4 RR and Tuono V4 1100 RR at the 72th EICMA. There are a few changes, so there are no visual changes in both the models except in the front-end. However, the company has make significant modifications in the design as well as in the power mills for better performance.

Powered by a compact 999cc, liquid-cooled, 65-degree, V-Four engine, the 2015 Aprilia RSV4 RR gets a revised airbox with electronically adjustable intake funnels and a redesigned secondary set of fuel injectors. Other technical changes in the engine are lightened con-rods and camshafts, titanium valves, improved lubrication system and redesigned exhaust with another oxygen sensor to provide more accurate fuel-air ratio adjustment. The highly advanced power mill now delivers 201hp of maximum power along with a peak torque of 115Nm at 10,500rpm.

 

Aprilia RSV4 RR

 

The new Aprilia RSV4 RR is around 1.5 kg lighter than the older version, while the swing-arm lengthened by 14mm. The company claims that the front-end of the bike has been tweaked to increase the aerodynamics and provide better wind protection. The electronic safety package- APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) has also been updated for the 2015 model. It also gets new headlight design with LED parking lights and the all new rear view mirrors.

 

Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR

 

The 2015 Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR gets a higher capacity engine derived by increasing the bore of the older engine by 3mm. the new 1,077cc V-4 produces 175hp of maximum power with 5hp increased output. Like the 2015 RSV4 RR, it gets a new front design along with redesigned headlights. The bike also gets a reshaped tail section with 15mm lower latter sitting, designed to be more comfortable. New handle bar is 15mm narrower for more comfortable riding position in city areas. The swing-arm is now 6mm longer and the front brakes also have been upgraded with a pair of Brembo M432 monobloc calipers biting 320mm discs.
