Which is the most beloved Sports bike in India? Well, it is a difficult question to answer, but we believe that ‘Dhoom’ bike Hayabusa is the favourite of the most. Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R is undoubtedly one of the iconic motorcycles, which is the winning hearts round the globe by over a decade now. It will be hard to believe for you guys but the Suzuki Hayabusa has gone relatively unchanged from its original form. It is shocking but true that the bike hasn’t received a single change in a decade long time.

Originally introduced in 1999 and consistently tested as the fastest production motorcycle in the world, the iconic Hayabusa redefined the hyper-sport category and in doing so required its own classification 'ultimate sport'. But the things has changed so much in these days, and now-a-days the competition has become really fierce, bikes like Kawasaki ZZR1400 or ZX1400R are getting their fair share of the market, so changes were most welcome.

So, to make the things better Suzuki has introduced  an 2013 Suzuki Hayabusa, which will be now equipped with Brembo front brakes and the first in Suzuki's sports bike range to feature an Antilock Brake System (ABS). The top-of-the-line radial-mount Brembo Monobloc front brake calipers that deliver prompt feedback to the rider, with an enlarged piston diameter from 32-30mm to 32-32mm meaning greater force is applied to the brake disc, resulting in increased initial bite to tame the Hayabusa's incredible power.

The 2013 Hayabusa features the familiar Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) fuel injection system and a 1,340cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder engine providing strong power delivery and impressive torque throughout its broad powerband. Suzuki's original Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) lets riders select one of three engine maps to suit road conditions and their riding preferences. The 2013 Hayabusa also comes with three selectable riding modes to let pilots get the best performance and most fun in almost any road conditions.

The exterior has also received multiple tweaks and after extensive wind tunnel testing, Suzuki now claims better stability at high speed and improved fuel efficiency. While the slick-shifting six-speed transmission works in conjunction with the innovative Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) back-torque-limiting clutch to deliver smooth and controlled downshifts.

Inverted cartridge front forks feature a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating surface treatment on the 43mm stanchion tubes to reduce friction and increase reaction to small irregularities on the road. A lightweight twin-spar aluminium-alloy frame and aggressive and sporty styling in a Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic Oort Grey or Pearl Glacier White/Metallic Oort Grey colour scheme complete the potent package. 2013 Suzuki Hayabusa will be made available by mid-2013.
