Bajaj Auto has a place in the top 10 business houses in India. The Bajaj Auto came into being long back in 1945 as M/s Bachraj Trading Corporation Private Limited. It started off by selling imported two- and three-wheelers in India. Bajaj Auto is based in Pune, Maharashtra, with plants in Akurdi and Chakan, Waluj and Pantnagar in Uttarakhand. The company went in public in 1960 after it got the licence from Government of India in 1959 to manufacture two- and three-wheelers in India. The company emerged pretty well and it rolled out its 100,000th vehicle in 1970. In 1977, it managed to produce and sell 100,000 vehicles in a single financial year.
Competing with Everyone from Everywhere for Everything, Bajaj has grown operations in 50 countries by creating a line of value-for-money bikes targeted to the different preferences of entry-level buyers.
Bajaj Group is said to be Maharaja of Business as it has introduced a lot of new bajaj models and has a story somewhat like from "rags to riches". Its real growth in numbers has come in the last four years after successful introduction of a few bajaj models in the motorcycle segment.
The company has shown tremendous growth as it modishly and successfully transubstantiate from a scooter manufacturer to two-wheeler manufacturer. The company offers a decent amout of range and gives ample of facility to people to make choice.
